Share this time to reflect on life, family, love, and all your blessings. Happy Easter, friends! ♡
[We are spending it in Maryland with his family. Eating great food & having a blast!]
Better late than never!
For a while now, I have always heard other Crafters talk about, and post pictures of “Washi Tape” [Pretty crafting tape.] I always wondered what its purpose was, other than having another “pretty collection.” I now own a whopping 6 rolls! 🙂 [Pictured above, from Michael’s & A.C. Moore.] Nothing compared to others, but it’s a start! I have a feeling this collection will steadily grow. 😉
Below is a picture of the first card I made using Washi Tape. I LOVE how it came out. I don’t take credit for the idea – I saw it when I did a “Washi Tape Project” google image search. I of course put my own spin on it, and it is my handwriting of course. I used a pre-cut white card from Michael’s, white cardstock for the balloon, and wrapped it in some Washi Tape, and also put the tape down the right side of the card. The “string” is my writing – I used a ZIG fine tipped marker. I hope you like it!
Check my other stuff out on my K Joy Creations page. [click on Photos once you get to the main page] & order away! 🙂
Do you celebrate them? We do. It’s just a little something to look forward to every month. 🙂 We don’t make a big hoopla about it, like we would a yearly anniversary (which is coming up in two months- our 2nd year anniversary), but we celebrate in little ways – maybe a dinner out, cooking a nice dinner at home, etc. Today is our 22nd monthsary, and I think we are having dinner at home, but heading out for yummy dessert. (Terebinth maybe, or Back Bay Gourmet.) I look forward to sweet little moments such as these. 🙂
Below is a little picture I drew of “us,” on one of my little doodle/sketch pads. I used pencil, Sharpies, and a “Zig” fine marker. I think it sorta looks like us! 🙂
Remember to celebrate not just the big things, but also the little ones! 🙂
Last week, my boyfriend and I took a mini vacation and drove to Savannah, Georgia. He has been before (but had never done the “tourist thing.”) It was my first time ever! The furthest south I had ever been before this trip was South Carolina for Easter 2012. Charleston to be exact, and that place was just as beautiful.
We left on a Thursday, and drove back to Virginia Beach on Sunday. To keep this blog post short, I will post what I posted as a Facebook status, as the highlights of our trip –
I had an amazing time with my Love as always. Sometimes you just need to get away from home, and this was one beautiful place to do just that! 🙂 Below are a few more pictures – a collage of our tour on the Oglethorpe Trolley (tour around historic downtown,) and a collage of us on beautiful River Street!
Below is a Palm Leaf “Rose” that he got for me as we strolled along River Street. Isn’t it beautiful? 🙂
I loved every minute of our trip and look forward to returning to sweet Savannah one day!
Take care, dear friends.
