Wow, where have I been!? It’s been nearly a year since I’ve posted anything. I definitely would like to post more frequently; even if they are short entries. 🙂

Many special things have been going on, and I will give a really quick summary here, and hopefully write a separate detailed entry on each one.

1. K JOY CREATIONS is growing!

Yes! I’ve added canvases, K Joy Hearts, and Birthday/Event Decor to my list of products/services.

2. My Love & I celebrated our 3rd year (dating) anniversary!

We celebrated in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; this definitely deserves its own entry. 🙂

My brother & sister-in-law are expecting Mackenzie Ann this coming August. We are all so very excited.

There are many other smaller things that have happened of course, but those are the three highlights. 🙂 I will try my best to post more, and post soon. 🙂 🙂

Our 2nd Anniversary [o5.2o.2013]

On May 20, 2013, my Honey Duane & I celebrated our 2nd year together. I can’t believe how fast time has flown by. I know it’s cliche, but so true, right?  It seems like yesterday, we were going on our first date, going through our first “everything” together- Holidays, birthdays, and trips.

In the middle of the night on the 19th, going into the 20th, I snuck downstairs to draw this on our Ikea chalkboard/keyholder.  It took me about 10 minutes to do, since I had to keep going over the chalk to design and darken it.  When he went downstairs that morning, I heard a loud, “Awwww.”  That alone was so worth the waking up in the middle of the night and getting into “artist mode.”

In the afternoon, when I got to the house around 5:45 pm, he had a BEAUTIFUL setup waiting for ME! Two dozen red & pink long stemmed roses, for the twenty-four months we’ve been dating. 🙂  He also had the sweetest card. These alone got me teary-eyed.  He didn’t stop there though – he continued to give me the following in steps, and had me “close my eyes” and open them each time – a gift bag with the “Just Dance 4” game for the Kinect and the Nicholas Sparks movie, “Safe Haven.”  He then had me close my eyes one more time and when I opened them, there were two Helzberg Diamonds boxes in my hands! Opened them to find the most beautiful silver charm bracelet with a heart on it, and in the second smaller box, a “LOVE” charm.   *sigh*

Below are a couple pictures of my Anniversary goodies. 🙂

I’m so in love with my new charm bracelet! It’s my first “real, adult, add your own customized charms,” one. You know how you had the premade, cheapy ones when you were younger…that’s all I ever had. Until now. 🙂

I gave him a Helzberg cross pendant necklace, and made him a one-of-a-kind, customized “Fancy Frame” of his name. I will make a separate post for that. 🙂  After the exchange of cards, gifts, and some happy tears, we then left for dinner. I had no idea where we were going, just knew that there were reservations made.  I knew it was at the beach somewhere.  We had dinner  at this romantic place called Zoe’s Steak & Seafood Restaurant.  Everything was amazing. Below is a picture collage of a bit of his food, and a bit of mine. They served THE most delicious Creme Brulee I’ve ever had. EVER!

There’s no such thing as PERFECT, but this day was so close to that! I look forward to so many more. Every single day with him is wonderful. DUANE DINIO is the best gift I’ve ever received.  Words couldn’t even begin to describe how much I love him. 🙂

Just a writing a quickie piece; I’ve realized that I am not much of  “writer” per say, I just love to share pictures, with just a little bit of “story” with them. 🙂  Below is a collage of the Wedding Anniversary card I worked on today – custom order – copper & mint green card. I made it from scratch with just 3 types of card stock and my Elegant Writer Calligraphy marker. I just love how it turned out. Ain’t love grand? 🙂

Monthsaries [Celebrating time we’ve been dating in “months”]

Do you celebrate them? We do. It’s just a little something to look forward to every month. 🙂 We don’t make a big hoopla about it, like we would a yearly anniversary (which is coming up in two months- our 2nd year anniversary), but we celebrate in little ways – maybe a dinner out, cooking a nice dinner at home, etc.   Today is our 22nd monthsary, and I think we are having dinner at home, but heading out for yummy dessert. (Terebinth maybe, or Back Bay Gourmet.)  I look forward to sweet little moments such as these. 🙂

Below is a little picture I drew of “us,” on one of my little doodle/sketch pads. I used pencil, Sharpies, and a “Zig” fine marker.  I think it sorta looks like us! 🙂

Remember to celebrate not just the big things, but also the little ones! 🙂
